It's not easy to penetrate the M'sian market with the new trend in advertisement. Lets face it, with internet, manipulations of facts and figures can take place so even if you present them with your traffic statistics, these businessmen would say "sure or not you didn't create this yourself?" (I am sure all facts and figures can be manipulated but its just that, with the internet, people tend to have that perception even more). It will be quite difficult to persuade them that internet marketing really works. Takes time, like with most things. So, never give up, just persevere. Rome wasn't built in a day :)

Pelf - This particular company has no real directive. It's just money money money. Firstly, they do sell their ice cream under their company name in various supermarkets. Secondly, they supply their soft-serve to other shop without using their name. Say you want to sell ice-cream... you can buy from this company and they let you sell it under the brand name 'Pelf ice-cream.'

They've been doing it for sometime. In recent years, they are trying to bring up their sales. (those sold under their name) They contemplated advertisement... but in the end, preferred to do it the old way. Road show at local malls and buy 1 free 1 promotion. Of course as with road shows, they're not exactly reaching out to as many people.
