E-commerce implementation if successful, requires a broad understanding of technology, law, policy and business processes.

Reading the line above, I bet my last dollar folks who aren’t exactly internet savvy will just turn and make a run for the door. In all fairness, that was the interpretation of an E-commerce book I had dated way back in 1999. It was the time when internet business was at its infancy.

Fast forward today, ecommerce software is readily available to take away the fear for people who wants to sell online. Really, nothing can be easier with those shopping cart software readily available online. The dilemma for the online business person today is no longer the hassle of getting the expertise to set-up an online shop, the dilemma is coming up with what to sell.

Now, there are plenty of sites offering shopping cart or ecommerce software out there. Plenty as in hundreds if you happen to do a search. I will not say which is the best because a comparison between ecommerce software offerings from various sites is an inevitable task for those who are serious. The thing I could recommend though is to set a benchmark and measure all others against this benchmark.

Ashop Commerce is the leading shopping cart software provider. It is one of the best around and if anyone is serious about finding a good ecommerce software, it pays to look around the web and measure the other offerings against the Ashop benchmark.
