How long have I been blogging? 2 years? 3 years? I only started monetizing my blogs in July 2007. In the beginning, I started searching every money making site I can find to look for tips. Everyone goes through that phase. Now more than half a year down the line, every money making tip sounds redundant. Correction. It IS redundant. But then the inquisitive nature in me cannot resist even now whenever I see some bloggers ditching out free money making advice over their blogs, I will take a look.
The same thing happened last night and I came across a local blog supposedly teaching new bloggers how to make money. I’ve no high hopes of getting anything new, but I went in and check-it out anyway.
So, what’s the big secret?
The post is a joke. You know, to be impressionable, you either have to be very good, or you have to be very bad. Either way, you’ll make an impression. This blogger definitely made an impression. (I’m not naming the blog) The secret to making money is… *drumroll* Start 10 blogs on free WP hosting.
If you’re blogging long enough, you’ll know how crap the advice is. Correct me if I’m wrong. If you’re doing paidposts on those free WP domains, WP will suspend your account faster than you say ‘paidposts.’ The irony is, this guy (I supposed he’s a guy..) is telling people to just register 10 free WP blogs and start writing for money.
OK, this post is not about the dumb guy who dishes out bad advice. It’s about whether should I be the busy-body and comment on his post? The rule of thumb is of course if you have nothing good to comment, don’t. But then I’m so free , I’m looking for trouble.
Would you comment to say that is BAD advice?

Yes. Sometimes I really get so pissed at those half baked so called gurus that i feel like giving them 2 tight slaps.
They don’t realize that there are leading many newbies to hell with those stupid advises.
I once called someone a ‘fucktard dingleberry’ in the comments section of a post that I SERIOUSLY objected to.
LOL at Karen’s comment. I will use her name calling if I see any more ^%^&%^%^ advice on the net!!
Costa - You know I’m such a nice person. I would have commented if that blog allows ano comments. OK, I will diss him if I come across his blog again. lol
Karen - hahahaha did you ignite a blog war?
Shireen - No you will not. You’re so sweet…
Not exactly. His fans dissed me. He made me his Shout Out, putting up my comment in it’s entirety and my website address. They came and read a snotty but hilarious comeback that I had written. He commented that he didn’t mind criticism but perhaps a little more tact next time. I got dissed a little more, he slapped ‘em down if they were just name calling instead of making real comments, I made another long comment on the shout out, he wrote another post about resolving things in an Adult Manner and I wrote another one about learning how to handle negative comments (I had left several that week and got banned from one blog, and got featured on his). It was all very grown up. Some of his readers thought we had orchestrated it for some reason. He became entranced with the word ‘dingleberry’. All in all, a good if slightly weird learning experience. The blog I got banned from, the owner kept visiting mine and leaving comments even though I had put his ISP in my banned box, so I had to enable moderation. He kept doing it, and I eventually e-mailed him and told him I thought we were finished, why was he still commenting on my blog. Didn’t hear anything after that. He did leave a comment on the Adult Manner blog saying something like…I delivered Karen where’s my 100 bucks? I should’ve gotten the money up front…which pissed me off a tad. Somehow after that being banned from his blog was not that big a deal. One of his more, um, dedicated fans seemed to think she was my mother and commented on the Adult Manner blog, saying I was funny but mean and sarcastic and that she was going to have an e-mail talk with me (?). Didn’t happen.
There are a couple of dubious blog “teachers” surfacing lately by pinging on Project Petaling Street. These so called teachers start teaching without showing what kind of credibility they have to teach. No proper About page, introduction to author, etc. and full of copying from other sites. That is BAD!
Karen - Wow. The blogosphere is never boring, huh? I never had a ‘real’ fight before in the blogosphere though a few times I hoped I retaliated. There’s no hard feelings, though I would like to retort the other party with points. Anyway in the end, I let it go. I was writing paidposts on my other blog then and I thought it won’t look good if advertisers drop by and see me ’shouting it out.’
Well, things are different now. My blog is slapped with PR0 and I can do what I pleases…:-P
Pablo - You noticed it too eh? lol Yeah, these ppl did not even have the decency to write anything on the ‘About Page.’ I sometimes wonder how long had they been blogging?
Thanks your message is delightful.
I like your site..
