excellenace1_48.jpgA recent survey came out Americans are working 30% more than their European counterpart. I won’t even put in the fanatical Asian worker who probably view hard work and long hours as their work culture. All these hard work and for what? Money and luxury are a powerful motivator. Please correct me if I am wrong, I have so far not heard anyone complaining they have too much in the bank. It is true what they say, nobody can be too rich or too thin.

Working hard is the norm in this competitive times. Is there a balance to this? It better be. Nothing beats reaping the fruits of your labor than savoring them. If you have worked hard and looking for ways to reward yourself, this is where site like www.affluentluxury.com comes in.

Affluent Luxury site offers plenty of articles and reviews on luxury resorts, luxury cars, luxury vacations and luxury yachts. Yes, do notice the word luxury at the front. These are reviews on some of the most exclusive shopping places for luxury gifts, golf courses and winery. There are plenty of information and articles on the site that will appeal to you if you are looking for something different from the regular run of the mill places with a generous touch of exclusivity.

Definitely a site to check out if you are seriously trying to reward yourself and your loved ones.

smorty.jpgInternet advertising had indeed reached new heights with the emergence of online journals or blogs. Blog advertising had gain much popularity in recent years. Around 2 years to be precise.

Services like Smorty present a platform connecting advertisers with bloggers. Bloggers get paid for blogging and giving their opinion. Of course there are many who feel bloggers who get paid for blogging are violating the sanctity of blogging itself. On a neutral front, this is a personal choice. Bloggers by virtue are opinionated individuals. Bloggers blog to voice out their thoughts and opinions. Regardless if they get paid to blog or otherwise. I do think that is an important factor.

For bloggers who blog for money, Smorty is an option. If you do not mind getting compensated for voicing your opinion, Smorty is a good choice because signing up with Smorty is one of the fastest around. Just submit your blog for approval and it is usually completed within 72 hours. Now, I am not saying all blogs will be accepted by default. There are requirements to fulfill. In general, your blog must be in the English medium, indexed by Google and is at least 3 months’ old. Once approved, bloggers are paid minimum USD6 per post and of course higher ranking blogs do command more.

Their full terms of service are available on their site.

The business trend nowadays are gearing towards the internet. It makes perfect sense too in view of the fact online business startups are way more affordable. I will disregard the big boys which probably have plenty of capital to burn, for the small business owner, the internet provides the perfect medium to level the playing field.

A few short years ago, starting your own online business meant having to hire web designers to design a good website and layout while incorporating an ecommerce software. Ecommerce software complete with shopping cart is essential. Not to mention the hassle of finding the right payment gateway. Without these, people cannot pay. When people cannot pay, you cannot sell. The principal is that easy.

With the emergence and availability of ready built ecommerce shopping cart software like Ashopcommerce, having your own online business is not hard. You do not even need to be especially IT savvy to operate their ecommerce software. The last I heard, Ashopcommerce even provide free store design for even greater convenience.

People who aspire to try their hand in online business, it pays to checkout what www.ashopcommerce.com has to offer. It is basically a one-stop online business solution complete with ecommerce and shopping cart software.

For someone like me who is not especially IT savvy and yet running a few blogs, the allure of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) magic is starting to overwhelm me. Let’s face it. It will be hard-pressed for any individual or organization who aspire their site or blogs to have more than mere existence not to be taken by the promises of what good SEO delivers. Who in the right mind would not want their blogs/site to be at the top of the search engine list?

I had heard my share. Like any other blogger or website owner out there, I do intend to separate the truth from the hype. I did my searching around. Frankly speaking, there is definitely no shortage of written articles on the subject of SEO. Just a simple search will probably yield hundreds of written articles on SEO from probloggers to SEO companies.

Am I any wiser? Yes and no. Having a better understanding is still far off from actually mastering and successfully implementing the techniques by yourself. There are plenty of good articles on this SEO blog that will undoubtedly help shed some light into the subject. The very least, burst a few bubbles regarding the SEO myth.

According to the article, ‘The Real Secret to SEO’, there is no shortcuts to the path of SEO success. It’s still hardwork, good contents and traditional marketing. There is no elusive secret formula to propel any site to overnight search engine success. At least not in the long run. Forget link buying. It is discussed in the article.

Will reading make anyone a SEO expert? Of course not. People should not be too hard on themselves. Having a clearer understanding and clearing the air around the SEO myth do help bloggers or companies make better decision whether it is to their advantage to seek professional help rather than resorting to quick dubious means. The very least, reading will help you not to grapple in the dark and grab whatever comes to touch.

A little more than a year ago, paid posts/sponsored reviews whatever you like to call them, were viewed with skeptism and a little contempt if I might add in the blogosphere. Come today, though I would not say there is a 360 degree change in perception, it is an undeniable fact people are accepting the fact sponsored reviews are here to stay.

Personally, I am doing paid posts in my main blog. I am not going to apologize about feeling good getting compensated to blog about the things I like. Things I believe in. Of course it is a personal choice whether a blogger decides to embark on a paid post journey or otherwise. There is no right or wrong. Having said that, I do need to dispel some myths that all sponsored posts are in a way ‘compromised.’ It is not true you can’t write your honest opinion if you’re getting paid. Not convince?

Blogsvertise is one of the very few, and I mean very few, paid post companies that do not dictate what tone your reviews should be. Bloggers blogging for blogsvertise are not asked to compromise their views in any way. Personally, nothing makes more sense than a company that favors their bloggers to be honest. If someone were to read a blog, I would want honesty in a post. Nobody wants to listen to a used-car salesman pitching a sale. Credibility on a product can only be achieved with credible and unbiased opinion from a trusted source.

There are quite a few paid post companies out there today. I cannot say which is the best because each probably caters to different advertisers who have different expectations. As a blogger, I can only say, any paid post company that does not ask their bloggers to compromise is a good choice to work for.
